Burleigh Heads local market day is held along the beach front on the last Sunday of each month and the popular Rip Curl, Billabong and Cult showrooms are only a 5 minute drive away. David Fleay Wildlife Park is located in a secluded bushland haven at West Burleigh and the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is also close by at Currumbin. WhiteWater World provides a range of aquatic fun just a few short steps away from Dreamworld’s entrance; with a huge array of slides, pools and other watery fun available, it’s the ideal double-dose of theme park enjoyment for the hotter summer months.
Cruise along the waters off the Gold Coast spotting migrating humpback whales as they travel up and down the east coast. This scenic cruise departing Surfers Paradise will get you up close to these majestic animals as they swim and play in the waters just off the coast.
Out on the water for around 3 hours, you’ll be treated to spectacular views of the beautiful Gold Coast region while also keeping your eye out for breaching, spy hopping and tail slapping humpback whales. Aboard a purpose built whale watching vessel, you’ll be able to look out from the various platforms to spot whales, however, if you’re cruise doesn’t have sightings you’ll be invited back on another cruise completely free of charge.
